Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all of you who have supported me at Achieve Your Dream Coaching. I can't believe that in about 90 minutes it will be 2007.
2006 was really a turn around year for me. I made the effort to push out of my comfort zone and really stretch myself. The results have been incredible. One of the greatest highlights of this past year has been the opportunity to get to know the subscribers to my newsletter.
You have all been so generous in letting me get to know you and in giving me your input and suggestions.
Achieve Your Dream Coaching is a work in progress just as we all are. I am learning as I go and will always pass on what I learn to others....I love the way that flows. Sharing the knowledge that has been passed onto me with anyone who might benefit from it.
Wherever you may be this special evening I wish you wonderful New Year.
For me I am so content to be in my pajamas hanging out with my husband and daughter.
2007 proves to be even more exciting than 2006 and I could use a little rest before I gear up for all the new things coming down the line.
My best to you all.

Holiday Parties

Well as you can see by the red letters it is Holiday time and I will admit that I have had some great fun making new friends at several great networking events. If you are in any kind of small business or sole proprietorship you know that networking can be very beneficial. Sometimes though it can seem like one more venue you have to check out and it seems so overwhelming.

Many networking groups will give you a chance to visit at least once before making a decision to join which is great though it is sometimes hard to judge the group and how good a fit it may be for you at 7:00 am.

At a Holiday party however you get the same opportunity and with the same individuals in a somewhat more relaxed setting. It's a great time to introduce yourself, meet new people and get a feel for the group and if it may be a good and productive fit for you.

I have had a chance to take advantage of a few of these opportunities and have had a blast at them. I love to meet new people and I have met some incredible women and men in the last two weeks. I have also been able to get a feel for a few networking groups and will follow up with a visit to a regular networking meeting to see if I get a similar feeling.

If you are thinking about branching out into some networking this is a great way to go about it. If this year isn't right for you still visit a few groups before you join one.
Find which ones will give you a chance to benefit the members as much as have the members benefit you.

Happy networking!

Holiday Cheer

I don't know about you but I am finding that many of my friends as well as myself are into skipping Christmas this year. I love Christmas but this year it feels a little overwhelming. I am working towards keeping it simple and looking forward to just spending the day with the family and yet at night I have found myself running lists of what to buy for who and when do the cards need to be in the mail.......and then I am not sleeping.
I have taken the approach of writing a list of 6 items that need to completed the following day. Then I just concentrate on completing those tasks. I don't worry about anything else for that day. Just before I go to bed I make my list for the next day. I feel like a little train just chugging along getting a little more done each day but it has reduced the anxiety and hopefully I am projecting a little more holiday cheer.

My Journey To Recovery

My Journey To Recovery

I Think I Want to Dance

I remember a few weeks back I was mentioning that I would love to learn ballroom dancing. and it is still a dream of mine. I am sitting here tonight watching one of the public television stations and they have a special on bell dancing.

So guess what? I want to learn to belly dance. It looks like such fun exercise and pretty sexy. Oh and there is also the plus that having a belly is actually appreciated.

Yes this is exercise but if you are not a size 2 or 0 you can still fit in here. Yippee!

I think what I am really getting is a message from my soul that it wants to express it self in the creativity of dance. I know I am not expecting to be a professional but my spirit is longing to break free and still appreciate dancing on some level.

I just want to let loose in my own home and have a great time....appreciate that I am a woman and let that be enough.

We feed ourselves in many ways and on many levels. belly dancing is about celebrating that we are sexy women no matter what our size.

So how does this fit in with coaching? Coaching is about connecting with our deepest selves. Getting to know who we are and expressing it. How perfect.
